The Genesis diptych is a visual study of the origin and formation of man, reflected in the biblical myth about Adam and Eve. Genesis” is not only the beginning, but also development, choice and loss. The first half depicts Eve wrapped in a treacherous plant (the tempter snake in the Garden of Eden). The thorns and flowers symbolize the duality of temptation: its attractiveness and its hidden threat. This is the moment when consciousness, choice and responsibility are born. The second part shows Adam the Warrior, who is also entangled in a serpentine plant with deadly berries. In the hand is a sword, a symbol of strength, will and willingness to face the consequences.
