The textile panel explores the mechanism of the emergence and rooting of obsessive thoughts - those that “get stuck” in the mind and gradually form a new system of perception, influence behavior and personality.
In the center of the composition is a shell in the form of a human head, from which a snail was “born”, symbolizing an obsessive thought. The snail becomes the image of this thought and the dominant part. In this context, it is both a parasite and a transducer, the cause of internal transformation. The shoots growing out of the head are new branches of thought, consisting of reflections, speculations and fantasies.
