The Heritage installation was created to show how strong and at the same time fragile our connection with the past, present and future is. In my work, I use the legend of the pagan holiday “Night on Ivan Kupala, or Kupala Night”. The tradition of celebration has been preserved to this day, which shows our strong ties to the past. The time personification in the installation is a wreath, which serves as a kind of bridge. Time changes it, thus making it possible to see the present and the future. As the exhibition progresses, the flowers on it will dry up, as the memory of centuries slowly fades, but does not disappear.
