Zhuk V.I.
Soviet graphic artist, poster artist. Member of BSH (since 1980).
He was born in Zául village, Minsk Oblast. He graduated from the Belarusian State Theatre and Art Institute (1970). He studied N. Golovchenko, A. Shevchenko, T. Ignatenko. Participant in art exhibitions (since 1972).
He worked in the field of socio-political poster. Main works: posters “Forest is a great source of health”, “Built in the 18th century. Reconstructed in the 20th Century”, “Perestroika”, “Apartheid”, “Mazyr. Vitebsk”, “26.4. Chernobyl”, “Spilil — plant!” , “Around You a World Is Created Alive”, “The Living Dies — Values Remain”, “Rebirth”, “God Have Mercy”, “What's Our Life? Game!” , “XI piatsigodtsy — percussion pratsa, intsyyatyv and creative maladykh!” (1982), “The Year of Belarus ad Neametska-fashystskich zahopnikava” (1984); billings for the ballet “Til Uhlenspiegel” by Ya. Glebov at the State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Works by V. AND. The Zhuka are in the foundations of the Belarusian Union of Artists, the National Art Museum of Belarus, and the Museum of Modern Art in Minsk.
