The forest is home to 80% of all life on land. It feeds, gives shelter, protects.
However, over the past 80 centuries, humanity has destroyed 50% of all forests, 75% of them in the 20th century. The painting depicts the remaining empty land, and Amur tigers, orangutans, cat lemurs from Madagascar and Sumatran elephants, which were almost wiped out due to the loss of their habitats.
The author suggests thinking about what everyone can do to change the situation by looking into the eyes of these beautiful creatures.
