Bagheera (eng. Bagheera) is a talking panther, a character from the short story collection “The Jungle Book” by English writer Rudyard Kipling, a fictional panther, a friend of Mowgli.
According to Kipling himself, Bagheera is a “leopard” (Hindi), and it is also a hypocoristic name from Bagh, a tiger.
Bagheera is part of Mowgli's “Trinity” by Mowgli's tutors and represents love.
Bagheera, whose early life was spent among humans, understands that man is the king of animals, so Bagheera is the first jungle dweller to recognize Mowgli.
