The main symbol representing the sky in various peoples of antiquity was a circle, or part of it in the form of a celestial hemisphere or dome.
The circle for ancient people was the embodiment of: absolute equality, unity, infinity, completeness, and eternity, since the circle line has no beginning or end and all points on it are equivalent, so often God was depicted as a circle.
The circle is the only indivisible geometric figure, but the circle, by the principle of attachment, may include many other circles, so each entity of the higher dimension is drawn into self the properties and qualities of all its dimensions.
The circle is also an ancient symbol of the Soul, a particle of God.
This could not help but be reflected in art, rites around the world: ritual chords around the fire or altar, round shapes of yurts, marquees, round squares in the center of ancient cities, the sedation of sages in a circle, where the center of the circle is not filled with anything like a symbol of Spiritual Beginning. The whole way of life of people in the past symbolized awe for Divine forces.
