Côte de granit rose means “Coast of pink granite” in French. This is a stretch of coastline in the Côtes d'Armor department in northern Brittany.
This is an amazingly beautiful place: a rugged coast with huge boulders of bizarre shape, turned over thousands of years by the waves of the ocean. Due to the rare reddish shade of granite, this place has become a popular attraction not only in Brittany, but also in France. This is a very rare type of granite that is found only in two other places: Corsica and China.
