Dirty Plates/Dirty plates

The project is an installation in the form of a table covered with objects created using the technique of overglaze porcelain painting. The artist uses ready-made porcelain items, sometimes used, sometimes from the finest expensive Chinese porcelain as a basis, and uses painting to create dirty dishes. The painstaking and expensive technique of overglaze painting emphasizes “The vanity of the mundane”. No matter how expensive lunch is, the plate will still get dirty. In the project, the artist conducts research, collecting plates from around the world, and as a result, each dirty plate has its own story.
