I wrote this work on a trip through Altay. There is a unique place in the south of the republic. A place of eternal winds and sunshine, the driest region of Russia. This is the Chuy steppe. It stretches on the border with Mongolia and is surrounded by mountain ranges. The Iiktu is one of their most beautiful peaks, which can be seen by passing through the Chui Trace.
