Mir Castle Complex (Mir Castle) is an outstanding example of defense architecture of the 16th century. It was laid in the early 16th century by Prince Ilinich. In 1568 the castle came into the possession of Nicholas Radziwiłł, who completed it in the Renaissance style. A three-storey palace was erected along the east and north walls of the castle. Earthen ramparts are built around with bastions at the corners and a moat with water. In the northern part there is a garden in the Italian style, in the south created a lake. In 2000, UNESCO placed Mir Castle on the World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. Our history, our sights.
