Inspiration is a subtle thing; it doesn't have to be found in amazing landscapes or expensive objects. The beauty of it is that it can hide in the simplest things. For example, in the lilac lighting of the spring city, the first, most delicate birch leaves, and the rough texture of its bark... These moments are so subtle, elusive and illusory that it seems completely impossible to capture them, but I tried. The mosaic of strokes on the trunk conveys a vivid sense of vibrancy, and the bizarre contours of the branches remind us that nature is the best artist.
