Still life of fish, oysters and crayfish with a cat (copy)

When I saw this painting by Clara Peters (1587—1657), for some reason I wanted to make a copy of it. This inner impulse of mine was barely realized at first, and then, while working on the picture, it dragged me back 400 years, like a Moebius tape. It began to seem to me that those distant times are closer than they are now. Her style, her worldview, her search for the meaning of life began to gradually become mine, as if my soul had been transported to the artistic world of Antwerp in the early 17th century. I hope that my painting will allow you to feel the continuous connection of times and bring peace, prosperity and happiness to your home.
