My painting is inspired by the open spaces of a magnificent, fresh, cold winter. It was written under the influence of watching videos of the life of such huge and powerful animals as bison at different times of the year. I was especially touched by the shots during the wintering of bison. Their warm breath, which disappears in the cold, freezes forever, the steam of their bodies, hot, lively, especially their gaze. I was touched to the core, unearthly, alien and different than human, but indescribably beautiful.
