A painting as part of the diptych “Sleep. Awakening”
Sometimes when you're not physically asleep, it's like you're asleep. A series of days, the routine of work and life, the same routes and solutions are changing.
Suddenly, an event occurs that, like a ray of morning sunshine, illuminates everyday life, gives it new visions and then meanings.
When you wake up, you begin to actively interact with the world around you.
Development happens, new thoughts give rise to new actions, and a new, improved reality.
Sleep and waking up (wakefulness) are a natural change in the rhythms of life; they are both important and interrelated.
