In 2 hours you will find yourself among laurel forests, walking 11 kilometers along the levada, hearing the splash of its waters and the murmur of streams flowing down the rocks. Sometimes, in the gaps between the trees, you'll see valleys covered with red-roofed houses, followed by the blue ocean. Then, while you're waiting for the bus, you'll have a glass of cold sour cider and buy a bunch of Maderian bananas. And you'll be happy to come home.
In the meantime, when you wake up before dawn, you walk through a sleepy city, like you, and greet this day with the first rays.
The painting is part of a series of works with clouds about transience and impermanence.
