Romanticizing the past

In difficult moments, you always think back to your childhood remembering it in a more positive way than it actually was. At the same time, as a rule, only a few bricks of bright happy events are clearly remembered from the whole wall of the past. Sad and traumatic events are not forgotten, but you still have the feeling that “it used to be better”.
