Dreaming is the royal road to the subconscious, Freud said. He believed that what we dream of are suppressed desires that we may not even be aware of, but our subconscious mind knows. Afraid to admit our secret desires to ourselves, we can dream of them in super-encrypted form.
In my opinion, this “royal road” to the subconscious mind looks like a spiral, an eternal movement in a labyrinth of sleep.
