This painting is one of the series “Stripes of Life”. In this work, I'm portraying someone I know. He has survived a stroke and is fighting cancer, but he hasn't lost heart. This picture reminds us that calm and tranquility are not something that exists by themselves, but the result of our inner work on ourselves. We can achieve this state if we learn to accept life as it is and not waste energy on negative emotions. The relief background of the painting represents the negativity and problems that occur in a person's life, and the flat, smooth surface on which he walks represents his peace of mind.
