This work is an installation that simulates an average contemporary art gallery, where matchboxes are a means of imitating paintings. On the one hand, this is a reference to something familiar and understandable to everyone: everything small is often associated with toys and games; on the other hand, the installation is an attempt to create the desired (modern art space) from available materials.
The project also presents another art object that complements the idea: a picturesque painting made on a recreated “box” (imitation) at a scale of 1:100.
