Triptych “The Return of the Holiday”. The left part of 'King David'
The left side depicts King David dancing in front of the ark.
“When they told King David, saying, “The Lord blessed the house of Aveddar and all that it had for the ark of God,” David went and triumphantly carried the ark of God from the house of Abeddar to the city of David.
And when those carrying the ark of the Lord walked six steps, he sacrificed calves and rams. David rode with all his might before the Lord; but David was dressed in a linen ephod. Thus David and all the house of Israel carried the ark of the Lord with shouts and trumpet sounds.” (2 Kings 6:12-15)
