The process of forming a baby in a woman's body is a great mystery. I think that it is at this time that an inseparable link is created between a mother and her child.
I added lace to the work to highlight this deep interpenetration. The lace became the image of a DNA molecule and an umbilical cord that connects a mother and her child.
Gold acrylic paint and strokes of potale applied to the textured paste enliven the picture with a slight shimmer. The picture does not need a frame; it was created in a single copy.
