How much we all look forward to spring. How we rejoice in the first warm rays of the sun, protalins and streams. But spring flowers are a special delight. The appearance of the first flowers tells us that spring has arrived definitively and irrevocably. So I got a little hyacinth in the pot that I wanted to draw. The flower petals are iridescent in the sun. It seems even possible to feel the sweet spring scent coming from the flower. Dry pastels together with watercolor bring the painting together and imbues it with lightness and tenderness.
