The painting “Spring” from the “Human Footprint” series by artist Idol shows the consequences of human intervention in nature. The image represents the shape of a human footprint, which leaves the consequences of his presence: the skeleton of an animal, a fish lying on its side and a human skull with fragments of cut down trees around, which symbolize the harm caused to nature and, ultimately, to man himself. This work is one of four where the same idea is implemented four seasons later, emphasizing the cyclical nature and inevitable consequences of our actions.
