Hypericum is a symbol of joy and inspiration.
For a long time, people in Russia believed that hypericum is a plant with healing qualities, and called it “a herb for ninety-nine diseases.”
Another name, “St. John's wort”, comes from the Kazakh word “jeraboy”, which means “healing wounds”.
In Britain, there was a belief that stepping on a miracle herb was dangerous: a magic horse would instantly jump out of it and carry a person far, far away.
