Biography

Yadviga Adamchyk is a photo artist, writer and journalist. She was born in Minsk in 1983, graduated music school in the class of piano. She studied English in LSI School in London, then graduated from the translation department of the Minsk State Linguistic University. While being a student she became interested in photography, and later started to work as a photographer. Her first photography and journalistic experience she started with the work at magazine "The student thought" and "Your sport". Later she made a series of photographs of players for the hockey club "Yunost Minsk". She made pictures and wrote concepts for advertising products of various brands such as "ARTDECO", "TRANSAEROTURS", "MTB Bank", "Comlimilk", "Frost", "Smolensk Diamonds", "MAGICLI", "ALESYA", "FONTEMA", "FEMMES FATALES", "AVTOBORD" etc. Yadviga also made her art photo exhibitions in Minsk, Vilnius and Barcelona. She wrote articles and made pictures for different periodicals ("Women's Magazine", "Jazz Square", "ESH", "Dolce Vita", "Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus", "Star", "Taxi", "We go to Lithuania") and news agencies. Since 2009, is a member of the joint project with Alena Adamchyk "Women of ...", which works with images does translations of the texts and creates the layouts of the books. In 2014 she released her first book of short stories in two languages (Russian and Belarusian) "One hundred grams of stories".
