The idea for this painting was inspired by a random stranger on the subway. In an unusual way, she combined opposing images: an old floral scarf and modern wireless headphones, old and new, nature and technology.
I immediately came up with the image of Flora, the ancient Roman goddess of flowers, prosperity and spring. Forgotten by everyone and almost exhausted, she is forced to hide in the city among people and adapt to the new, sometimes hostile environment. Her gaze is aimed at the past and the future at the same time, reflecting on past greatness and what path still lies ahead.
