Firefly Forest

I was inspired to paint this picture by Igor Komar's “Ok” (“Home”). The author writes about his work as follows: “In my essay, I raise an important nuclear issue of the environment. My home is still struggling with the negative consequences of the tragedy at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. What I see is a forest landscape that would be fresh and clean if, on the other hand, it were not poisoned by some unstoppable and invisible energy.” Therefore, in my film, an important role is assigned to nature, ecology and especially fireflies, which are very sensitive to changes in the environmental situation.
