The work reflects two states of a person's mind, which are expressed by shadow and light. Opposites always exist together, the shadow emphasizes the light, and conversely, the joy of a person is always brighter after difficulties and suffering. The area of shadow (flour) is expressed by another plastic language, sharp, graphic, contrasting, with the use of scratching acrylic with a cutter. Male and female figures in this area of the picture alternate symmetrically. The area of light (joy) is solved in a light color scheme with soft outlines of landscape details and figures.
