NON SENSE

11398 BYN
With frame
size: 60x412x4 cm
Materials: Acrylic on canvas
Kind: Painting
The canvases say “I don't see the point” in Braille. A sighted person may not be able to read the inscription, as it makes no sense for the sighted person to be able to read such a font. The blind person will also not be able to read the inscription, as the circles on the canvas are flat, and not convex, as the Braille alphabet implies. Accordingly, neither sight nor touch will help the viewer “see” the meaning of the work, which is what the inscription on the canvases says. The name NON SENSE can be translated as “lack of meaning” and “lack of feeling” (sight, touch)
