The story is based on the Tsama Dance, a solemn religious ministry performed in Buddhist monasteries, one of the functions of which is to prepare a person for death. It is an oriental tale of a sleeping beauty who smokes hashish and in a half-nap sees death wearing a monster mask. Death, like a magical dream envelops it, mesmerizes, absorbs, and takes away into the otherworldly world.
It is in the collection of the National Art Museum of Belarus.
