Triptych “MAMA”

The triptych “MAMA” was created specifically for the exhibition “Date with Brazil”. “The beauty of women, ordinary women from a people of mixed blood, is the fruit of love between different races. It's a clear morning, free from prejudice.” Who are Brazilians? What do people from such a strange and mysterious country called Brazil look like? Artist Irina Kotova explores the theme of the Brazilian nation through the female image of a mother. Portuguese, mulattos, and indigenous Indians formed the basis of the Brazilian ethnic group. “Many times they mixed their blood together, and the result was perfect beauty.” Quotes from the novel “The Miracle Shop” by Jorge Amado.
