I really wanted to depict these unusual flowers. The magical blue color of the painting's background highlights the fresh colorful buds. Bold brushstrokes of pastel crayons convey an expressive character. Bright, luscious protea flowers are arranged in a vase. They are so beautiful and self-sufficient that I think they wouldn't like it if they were to put some other flowers on them, because by their unusualness they would obviously displace them.
