The painting is based on Rorschach spots. The spots, or the Rorschach test, are a study of the personality psyche, where the cards depict blots-figures. Each such figure serves as an incentive for free association — the test is based on the assumption that what an individual “sees” in a blot is determined by his own personality, internal conflicts and life experience.
The artist in this painting also wants to emphasize that any painting mirrors not only the artist, but also the viewer himself.
