Some of my paintings have epigraphs, like books with stories, twisted stories and worlds, and characters, because the world of art and the world of literature are subject to a common one — the world of creativity. The epigraph to this picture is the saying by S. Hawking: “If you fall into a black hole, don't give up. There's a way out.”
The painting depicts a scene where women are hard at work deep in the dark bowels of the earth. What are they looking for: iron ore, gold, diamonds? Or light? Or..?
