Succubus and Incubus

Incubus (incubon, incubonius, Latin incubus, from incubare, “reclining from above”) - in medieval legends a dissolute demon looking for sexual relations with women, a character of the lower mythology of the peoples of Europe. Sukkýb, sukkýbus (from Latin succuba — “mistress, concubine”, from subcub (āre) — “to lie under” from sub- — under, below+cubāre — to lie, rest) — in medieval legends — the demon of lust and debauchery, visiting at night of young men and causing them voluptuous dreams, a character of the lower mythology of the peoples of Europe. Oddly enough, when describing succubi by medieval demonologists, the word succuba is used
