This drawing was made by me after I re-read Martin Kemp's book Leonardo, which made a huge impression on me. The elegance of the armor is impressive. The helmet is decorated with garlands of leaves and beautiful flowers, as if coming straight from the Corinthian capital, and equipped with dragon wings. On his chest, the warrior has a winged lion's head with a mane, which grows directly from exquisite acanthus curls in antique taste. Too fragile and uncomfortable to use in combat, this helmet is an exquisite piece of jewelry to wear on the occasion of a tournament.
