This work was inspired by the image of a kilic painting that is kept in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. Odysseus learned that Troy would be captured only if Philoctetus and Achilles's young son Neoptoles arrived in the Greek army. Odysseus had no trouble convincing Achilles's young son to take part in the siege of Troy. Like his father, the beautiful Neoptolem was eager for great deeds. He immediately set off with Odysseus, although his mother, Deidamia, tearfully urged him to stay. The moment when the armor was handed over was captured. The contour drawing is extremely perfect.
