This work was inspired by the image of a kilic painting that is kept at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. Here the plot is a dispute between Odysseus and Ajax over Achilles' armor, forged by the god Hephaestus and left after his death. Thetis ordered them to be given to the one who distinguished himself the most in protecting Achilles's body. Athena Pallas helped her pet Odyssey here. The compositional scene is very interesting: the rapid movement and dynamism of the figures. The strict style of the image is enlivened by ornamental design, which imparts the decorative elegance of the entire composition.
